It is a gazetted holiday in India, where people of the Hindu faith hold outdoor fairs (melas) and large parades with effigies of Ravana. A member of Kalki Avatar Foundation India exclaimed,

'Dasara was absolutely fantastic! Everything was so bright and colourful. We were in awe of the huge Ravana effigies.'

Nearly 1000 leaflets bearing the divine signs of Kalki Avatar Ra Gohar Shahi were handed out to participates at the festival. Many people took deep interest in the message of Kalki Avatar Ra Gohar Shahi! An aspirant working at the fair said,

'Dasara is a time to start a new venture, therefore I will take the Simran of 'Ra Raam' and practise it daily!'
